Employee App: How Employees Can Switch Payout Methods

This guide explains how employees can switch their payout method between HausDirect™ and HausMoney™ using the employee app.

Employees can choose between two digital payout options. After enrolling in one, they can sign up for the second and switch between them anytime if their organization offers both.

  • HausDirect™: The payout is deposited directly into the employee's bank account. No ID verification is required. A payout fee up to $1.25 may apply, depending on the organization's settings.

  • HausMoney™: The payout is deposited into a HausMoney account. This method is free and requires ID verification. It includes access to a virtual and physical card.


The Employee's Payout Method Switching Process

An employee can switch their payout method in two ways:

  1. Adding a second service for the first time

  2. Switching between two services they are already approved for.

1. Adding a Second Payout Method For the First Time

When an employee is already enrolled in one service and wants to add the second, they must first request it through the employee app. The system automatically switches them to the new service after a manager approves the transfer.

  1. The employee logs into the TipHaus Employee App.

  2. They navigate to the Earned Tip Access® tab.

  3. The employee initiates the sign-up process for the other service (either HausDirect or HausMoney™) by clicking on "Update Payout Method" and "Sign Up".

  1. They will receive an email to complete the registration process via a link. Remind employees to check their spam folder and ensure they are logged into the correct email account linked to their TipHaus profile.

  2. Once the employee finishes the sign up process, a pop-up message will appear, confirming that their payout method will be switched automatically once their manager approves the transfer.

When an employee changes their payout method for the first time, an administrator must approve the update for security purposes.

⚠️ Important Note: Admins cannot make payout method requests on behalf of employees. If admin assistance is required, employees must use the app or follow the outlined process.


2. Switching Between Approved Services

Once an employee is approved for both HausDirect and HausMoney™, they can switch between the services instantly in the app at any time.

  1. The employee logs into the TipHaus Employee App.

  2. They go to the Earned Tip Access® tab.

  3. The employee taps Update Payout Method.

  4. They select the desired payout method from the list.

  5. The employee taps Update and the change takes effect immediately for their next payout.

⚠️ Important Note: For scenarios where employees cannot make the switch themselves, admins can submit a manual request to TipHaus to process the switch.
